Take your poems to the next level in this online workshop with Prime-Minister’s Literary Award winner, Melinda Smith.

You’ll explore some techniques for going deeper with your poems, making them more surprising, more mysterious, and more powerful.

In this 2 ½ hour group session you will read, think, question, experiment, and – we hope – grow as a poet. The program will be a mix of poetry technique, analysing published poems written in English by prominent Australian poets, and guided writing exercises. The course will also include tips on self-editing your poems. Suitable for poets, published or unpublished, who are ready and able to receive honest feedback on their work. Via Zoom.

Poets Out Loud is proud to host award-winning poet Melinda Smith as the first guest facilitator in our online poetry workshops.
