About our feature:

Only two people have won both the Woodford Folk Festival Poetry Slam and the Woodford Storytelling award. Robin Archbold aka Archie was the first in 2011. He’s also won two Lismore Poetry Cups, the 2016 Nimbin Performance Poetry World Cup, and the Bellingen Writers Festival Inaugural Slam among a host of other competitions. Archie was the feature artist at the APS final in 2009, and is also a multi-festival feature artist, including Woodford Folk Festival, Queensland Poetry Festival and Tasmanian Poetry Festival among many others. He co-founded Australia’s premier outlaw performance poetry event, the Nimbin Performance Poetry World Cup in 2003 with Gail Clarke and founded Sunshine Coast Spoken Word in 2013. He’s performed at venues from the Sydney Theatre Company to the Gympie Muster Poets’ Breakfast where he disrobed before a 1000 strong audience—a first and a last in a single unpantsing. Archie’s also an award-winning writer, and performance and writing workshop facilitator.
