Join Sarah Temporal for a free workshop in finding your voice with Slam Poetry. If you’re a young person aged 12-18 and live in the Northern Rivers region, you’re invited to attend.

This session will be held online via zoom, on Sunday 25 June, 10am – 11:30am.

Sarah Temporal is a prize-winning poet who has inspired hundreds of young people to express themselves through creative writing and spoken-word. She is the director of Poets Out Loud Youth Slam, held annually with Byron Writers Festival.

Poets Out Loud Youth Slam is a live showcase of young voices with a first prize of $400. Entry is open to young people aged 12-18 years living in the Northern Rivers region.

Poets Out Loud Youth Slam is on August 11, 2023, in partnership with Byron Writers Festival. Entry closes on June 30.

There is also a free info session for the Youth Slam on Thursday 22 June, for parents, teachers, and anyone interested.
