So you want to enter SUPER SLAM? Here’s what you need to know:
- SUPER SLAM is on Sat 11 May, 4pm at The Citadel, Murwillumbah.
- Please arrive by 3pm for check-in.
- Time limit is 2 minutes. Points lost for going over time (1 point per 5 seconds).
- Poems must be your own original work, with no props or backing tracks.
- Any topic, any style of spoken-word is welcome. However, if your material is hurtful or offensive to marginalised groups, this is not the place. Please respect your audience.
- No phones or timekeeping devices on stage please.
- Judges are pre-selected
- Scores are not be displayed
- Poems are judged on writing, performance, and audience impact
- First prize $250, 2nd prize $100
- Judges decision is final
- The Event may be photographed or filmed. Please advise the host if you do not want your image / performance published.
